What you see

Alongside sensation, you may notice appearance, any discharge, described simply. A word or two: nothing, cloudy, creamy, clear, stretchy.

Appearance supports what you feel. But sensation leads. If the two ever seem to disagree, trust the sensation.

Once a day

You record once, at the end of the day, based on the most significant thing you noticed. One quiet moment of attention.

Noting intimacy

You'll also note the days you and your husband were intimate. Seminal fluid, and the moisture of arousal, can mask your own sign for a day. So the next day's observation may be harder to read clearly.

For that reason, before Peak, the Billings Method treats the day after intimacy as a possible-fertility day, since your own sign cannot be read with certainty. It is not counted as a clear dry day. Knowing this, you read those days with a little extra care.

There's no wrong entry. You're simply describing what you notice.
