After birth, your body often rests in a long, quiet stretch. Not the short handful of dry days from a regular cycle, but weeks or months of the same steady pattern.
For many it's dryness. For others, an unchanging discharge, the same feel and look day after day. Either way, that steadiness is your baseline for this season.
Fertility doesn't switch back on. It edges back, and it can begin before your first period returns.
So the thing to notice is any change from your quiet baseline. A day of moisture after weeks of dryness. Mucus that grows clearer or wetter. A slippery sensation, which always matters. You don't conclude anything from one change. You keep observing.
Your body may begin to prepare, settle back, and begin again weeks later. Each attempt is honest. None is a failure. It's simply your rhythm relearning itself, and your chart lets you watch the whole conversation.
This season has more quiet and more false starts than a textbook cycle, and that's exactly normal. The method meets you here. Steady noticing is what reveals your return, in your own time.
